The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is currently seeking guidance from Cabinet Office on what gas engineering services and scenarios are considered essential for the next 3 weeks; for example, attending emergency breakdown, versus installing a new appliance. As soon as more definitive guidance is available, it will advise further.
As of the evening of 23rd March, it asks to suspend Gas Safety inspections until it has more guidance is provided and hopes for a response on what the Government needs from the industry to support the nation.
The HSE had already suspended all of our Inspection Events and is looking at suitable alternatives to attending an event in person.
